I might have been able to blindly blunder into something similar, but never would have given the shade aspect a second thought. Other than that, it's essentially rotational grazing, which I'm not unfamiliar with.

The problem I was having I divided the coop in half. Making it difficult to let each set of birds out without designing chutes. If I make it one coop then it will be identical to the plan. Including the window to throw the poop piles out. And I have plenty of fencing to work out the center compost part.

Nice plan. This really brings it together for me.

i wish...my mom changed her mind that she doesn't want to drive across the whole mitten to get, and i quote: "for some chicks that we could just get down the road" uuuuuuugh i was sad but she did say that next next year when i start 4-H we could meet mel then!

i used sketchup to design my chicken coop! it's AWESOME
