.Back in '76 a dog trainer acquaintance rode horseback from home (southern IL, I think) to Chicago to commemorate the bi-centennial. took several days, with a trailer & fresh horses & a camper meeting him every so often along the way. It made the papers.

I am still trying to get company for the Yellowstone part of the trip because it won't be very expensive. Most people I know can't afford the pack trip at $1500. Of course I can't normally either, but I have waited a long time. I would love to have rode the continental divide trip, but it is too expensive for me.

Sounds like a great trip.... Wish i could afford something like that... I hope you have a great time.
