Yeah, they're getting a bit darker. Pullet that laid it has 6 more sisters; be interesting to see what, if any, variations occur between eggs from the 7 of them.

Hi All! 

I have missed so much!  I hope everyone had a relaxing holiday.  Lots of chicks/ducklings/quail I'm sure have hatched - Congrats!

I saw this sweatshirt and coffee mug and thought they were AWESOME!!!

I just bought a kitten one that sees a tiger in the image.  They have some great products - a bit expensive, but really cool.


In my house, last night we had 7 silkies hatch, sometime after I left for work, number 8 hatched.  That leaves 4 eggs that haven't done much.  A pretty good hatch for shipped eggs!  I got an adorable new black kitten.  I'm wondering if getting a kitten just before we set up a Christmas tree was the best idea.  Lastly, I had a pen that I thought was 7 roosters....well, I found 2 eggs on Sunday, and another 2 eggs yesterday.  So, I'm thinking at least 2 of my roosters aren't roos....

I hope everyone is doing well, and that anybody in the TN area is far, far away from these fires!!!

@Sally Sunshine Or any one else interested. I peeled the driest luffa today.

And here are the seeds getting cleaned off.

And here they're drying.

And here I weighed them. 2 oz which according to Sow True Seeds, is somewhere around 280 seeds, just from a single luffa!

Hi everyone just a quick question, is it okay for the incubator temp to fluctuate 0.1 degrees? Mine goes from 37.5-37.6 C.

Yes. That's a good incubator. It won't affect internal egg temperature.
