EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

GOOD MORNING, COFFEE CUSTOMERS! DO YOU KNOW WHAT DAY IT IS?!

@Fire Ant Farm How are you doing?
Thanks, MC! I fell asleep last night on the sofa at 7:30, moved to bed at 8:30, then didn't wake up until 7:15 this morning. And still felt tired. Worried I'm getting sick - I hope it's just allergies or something. Not sure how long I'll last tonight...

Good morning Abi. I feel like I'm underwater and my head is going to explode. Crazy cold
I actually feel a little better today thanks.

Off to work.

Ugh. Sorry to hear - I hope I didn't get one...
8 ducks. It was 70 degrees yesterday so no heat. Then a storm blew through, dropped it to the 50s. They survived.

I need to get them out of the brooder and into a coop.

I just bought a kitten one that sees a tiger in the image. They have some great products - a bit expensive, but really cool.
I love this - where did you find it?

Any Texans live near Dilley in Frio county?
I just read this.
I also didn't see it until quoting. I think I may have heard about this in passing, but don't know a lot about it. It's about 1 to 1.5 hours south of us here in San Antonio...

@Fire Ant Farm

They stopped asking long ago - I have no problem spending hours cleaning coops and chicken waterers, but I just don't have the patience to put up with something as high maintenance as a SPOUSE!!!!

@Sally Sunshine Or any one else interested. I peeled the driest luffa today.

And here are the seeds getting cleaned off.

And here they're drying.

And here I weighed them. 2 oz which according to Sow True Seeds, is somewhere around 280 seeds, just from a single luffa!

Fantastic!!!!!!

Yeah!

Well these are the "early hatchers" - the late hatchers are in the trays above. Most here are the white TJ chicks.
Will take more pics tonight when they get moved to the brooder.
Need to high-tail it to work...

700
That's quite the variety of colors.

The non-TJ chicks are: (spelling probably wrong but on cell phone)
3 svart honas
3 barbizeaux
3 blue Orpington
2 bieberfeilder
1 cream Legbar
1 isbar
