@ChickenCanoeThe waterer that I put in there has horizontal nipples. I have to assume that he is using it. It is hard to tell with only one drinking. I sure hope so.

SO funny story
My father in law has 3 chickens, he thought 2 boys and a girl, he was going to dispatch one of the boys but one went missing last week
the pullet has been laying for a couple weeks maybe a month and is now broody, she is setting on 3 eggs
my FIL kept looking for the missing cockerel because he liked that one more than the one he has
So Last night he found it, under a trailer, setting on about 10 eggs
oops, guess he has 2 pullets and one cockerel
and soon many babies

I thought of that, but it is not see through so it is hard to judge.put a water line mark on the outside of the bucket with a majic marker.
it was under my broody bantam but with the chick she already has she wouldn't stay on it its about 14 to 16 days into incubation and she cracked the shekk but didn't bust it or breack the aircell and the chick is still alive and veins are healthyAre you cooking it or incubating it?
It would be nearly impossible to get embryonic development to go full term on a heat pad. And then you have the humidity issue.
Any idea what the internal egg temperature is sitting on a heat pad with ambient air all around?
Or are you just trolling us?
we are very humid here right now.and I have thermometers to make shore temp is steady and its wrapped with a shirt like a nest.and I turn its every 3 hoursIf you're looking for advice, I'd paint the cracks with liquid bandage. It worked for me.
I'd still try to get the egg in a constant 99-100 environment with some humidity.
Quote: even though the males are in pens alone I did put the tractors in a position where they can see the other chickens
