yep i have this problem too

my dog likes to test me, so it has to stay charged at all times, AND i need my hubby to actually use it and not encourage the dog to eat my chickens :somad
my rottie only wanted to herd the ducks. She never bothered the chickens.

My dachshund on the other hand...the first time she saw a chicken was in my backyard. White leghorn hen. She grabed her, held her down and proceeded to pluck her. By the time I realized what was going on this poor hen was bald and limp :(

I went back, grabbed the chicken, proceeded to beat the dog with the dead chicken and well, the chicken came back to life after the 2nd hit and beat the cheap put of the dog her self :gig

Needless to say, the dachshund doesn't bother he birds anymore

maybe it will sink in
my husband thinks i am cruel for the shock collar and for the dead chicken being tied to her
he thinks she should be able to kill what ever she can catch, i want to put the collar on him

Sweet. I'm going to open the barn to allow more access from the run this winter. Now that everyone has removed all their belongings. It will be a perfect spot for them
this is just the lean-to we added on over the summer to store the 4 wheeler and wood splitter under, needless to say the 4 wheeler is back in the shed and the woodsplitter is under a tarp again
