EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

The problem with being able to retake and crop photos is that the photo is no longer perfect until it's the tenth shot and cropped.

So no more cropping.
I hope others find her as adorable here as I do. I was more focused on "she's being cooperative!" than getting her hair fixed, and shoes on.

Love her

Y'all fall asleep?

Nope, I was out doing stuff in the yard. About to bake some bread and make pizza dough now, and do some puttering around the house, try to clean some stuff up a bit.

Sure is quiet around here, though... I was looking forward to spending some time the thread as a reward, but only a handful of posts for read back! Then again, I haven't had much to post myself - things are pretty boring here, just chicken chores, removing temporary fencing from old paddocks, washing pans. My hands are chapped, though. Oh, and I tore the leg of my work pants on a bit of metal in the garden (part of a trellis support) - I am thankful it didn't tear my actual leg, but it was still irritating and I may have expressed my irritation with a few choice words that young chickens shouldn't have heard...

Oh, Monkey's comb is totally normal now, no skin sloughing or anything. I put more dry bedding in there today as well as refreshing the PDZ/sand under all coop roosts and refilling all feeders. Frat House and Nudist Colony (aka Naked Neck coop) got topped off with more fresh dry bedding today - I'll get the others done tomorrow (got some more at the feed store).

See? Boring.
