More than stinky, mephitic specifically means poisonous, toxic and foul-smelling. REALLY stinky. The latin name for the skunk is Mephitis mephitis... When I looked it up, there were some pretty brutal insults using retromingent that I may keep in mind... I actually use the Dremel tool itself, on about 10 - 15,000 speed. Works well. The Chicken Chick has some nice instructions. She recommends microwaving it afterwards for about a minute (in 10 second bursts) to sterilize. Yup, gotta agree there. @Ladyfarm , you will be tempted to "help" if nothing happens after pipping. The urge will be nearly uncontrollable. Just sit on your hands - come on here if you want to be distracted or talked out of messing with them. They do best when left alone. (The notes do suggest when it's time to help, of course - some people don't ever help, though.) Speaking of hatching... Look what we have here! Seems like someone is saving GNH eggs out of Tank's coop now that I've gotten two eggs two days in a row... Pullet eggs or not, if I'm not careful, these might fall into the incubator... - Ant Farm

Hatcher is all ready for business!! (top bator)

Incubator is underneath humming away. (It's humidity is low I know ) It's been high lately because of the ambient humidity due to it being very hot and rainy here so I'm keeping it down for a while, bumping it up later.

Both are connected to a UPS, nothing is going to stop me (ง'̀-'́)ง

Pretty sure if I'd had my blood pressure taken during lockdown I'd have been put on meds.... It's crazy.

(I plan lockdown to be over the weekend, so I stare at the bator all. Day. Long. Who needs to eat?)
