I don't mind doing it for my coworkers. A great way to earn some money I guess. Its their culture too though, and probably hard to find good, fresh and organically grown eggs around here, let alone have an incubator to do it yourself!

2 tbs butter
2-3 tbs of vegetables oil, olive oil is the best
1 sherded onion
1 leek only th white part, sherded.
3-5 garlic cloves
1 kg of clean pealed and cut Jerusalem artichoke
2 medium pealed potatoes
200-250 cream for cooking
1 liter of water
Thyme
2 ts of salt
White pepper
Some nutmeg not to much!
MO
Put the butter and oil in a pot, add onion and leek and thyme, stirring for t minutes, add the garlic, potatoes, JA, and stir for 2 minutes, add the water and let them cook til everything is very soft. 20-30 minutes. Add the cream and process with a stic processor or a standard food processor. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg, and eat it with a nice home made croutons.
Todah rabah Benny.

I hope this is ok to ask..... For those who have done this: How long do you incubate Balut for? I have several coworkers interested in me incubating Duck eggs for them for Balut. Should I Just do it to their prefrence, as 1 person said he likes his only 7 to 10 days, but I have seen where some do it for 14 days or even 17!

!?

Whatever boats your float, I guess. I'd certainly never even consider it. Now, if you'll pardon me, I'm going to go upchuck

Ello everyone, right so I have some eggs and they are hatching 6 days and other eggs that are hatching in 13 days, my question is how to I turn those eggs manually when the day 6 eggs go into lockdown. I was think of get a prod and moving them through the vent holes in the incubator.

You're up early.
Yes ma'am, I usually am. Mother Nature usually hollers about 5:00, and it's normally fruitless trying to go back to sleep, so I just stay up. Trouble is, I'm also a nightowl. I guess I like my quiet.
I just realized! You're 3 hrs behind me. Talk about being up early! Or have you not gone to bed yet?

How are you?

I wouldn turn the later guys on hatch day for the short-timers, so you don't have to take the lid off.I was think of get a prod and moving them through the vent holes in the incubator.
Right or wrong, I'd turn the earliest batch normally until lockdown, then put the others in lockdown a half or full day ahead of time. After that, I wouldn't do any staggered hatches unless I had 2 incubators.

Well, most of us are not happy with the entire concept, and I don't even want to know.
