I think it's odd because we got new "smart" meters..... :rant Our bill was up there in the summer but thats AC. now its almost double what our higher bill was! :th Something isn't right...

They hooked up a stupid meter on ours as well. It immediately shut down everything that runs with a computer board so pretty much the whole house. Reinstalled the regular meter while they trouble shoot the house as too the problem. First it was the 35 year old overhead wire then it was the meter itself at this point we still have the regular meter and pay $10 per month for that privilege.

Where they get you with the smart meter is the times of usage. It tells them when you are using the electricity and charges an arm and leg for it. Except for the heater here we are all electric so we are in the 4th tier quite a bit of the time. It's expensive for sure.

I cant believe you didnt SET YET!!! lol is it not buggin you at all? just look at that thing..... amazing miracles it sure does!!! sighhhhhh
Yes, it is driving me out of what normal functioning brain cells that I have. I have it sitting on top of my refrigerator with my extra thermometer/hygrometer scotch taped to the outside of the box and my back up thermometer/ hygrometer sitting on the entertainment center taunting me! Every time I open the fridge there it is, tempting me.

My poor husband keeps asking me how many chicks I plan to hatch between my Christmas present and my broody hens. I just smile mysteriously and refuse to answer. It's better that way!

@Sally Sunshine about that sapphire... He sleeps on the second rung, so always covered in poop. Also someone ripped his wattle vertically; it was already healing before I caught it, so I need to get a pic of that for advice. There's a hangy bit. This was my last pic of him:

Today I figured out where to put everyone to get me breeds and mixes without needing new pens. With the OE marans and the EE/cochin in the broody suite, if I round up the stray honas and put them back in the old coop, then put the HRIR quad in the ugly coop, I can leave the EE, CCL, OE, and other hens/pullets in the main coop under the sapphire and the EEs (until they get rehomed).

Plans are to start incubating these mixes by the end of January.

Hey @campingshaws -Not sure if you have ever used this stuff or have any on hand from an old burn, but we call it "Jesus in a bottle"!
Silver Sulfadiazine Cream 1%

My roo had the same problem and he was completely healed in 2 days! It is the same-vet strength or human strength. I'm not sure if you need a script for it now but it is worth having on hand for wounds.
