Did y'all have a hangy bit? I haven't interfered because it seems to be drying up fine on it's own. I did think about trying to get it numb with ice and slicing the hangy part off, but that didn't totally seem like a good idea either. :/

I gave up on mine also, champion blood lines, I might try hatchery birds sometime but champion birds were a challenge.

That explains a lot!!! Thanks Penn!! I am still going to call to check but this is crazy! What's even worse is we just got a notice that we have a natural gas line running through our property so you would think it would benefit them to sign us up. (there wasn't one when the house was built 8 years ago) They still want $4000 to tie us in to the line and they would be getting our business. And we would have to switch over all our connections like dryer, furnace, fireplaces etc... So we are sticking to propane for now 

When the well quit here we had to buy a water meter hook up from the city. It was $18,000 plus change. The change was they didn't dig the line or install the Backflow device that they required us to install. Oh and that didn't get me the meter, that bought me the right to have them charge me for the water. I had to refinance the home to get it.

Sounds like it would have been cheaper to dig another well.
