EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

"did you see my post to you?>? which was calibrated? or are you saying at the start they WERE all the same temps? do you have the little ones sitting on the wire? also this has a fan yes?"

It does have a fan, they have went back to matching temp again, had to take mobile Guage out and flick it a bit and unstuck the needle. It seems to have worked. It's back to good.

The digital gauge built into bator says it was precalibrated and I did a test run for 2 days with a standard mercury thermometer.

LOVE this photo...

I've been attacking this massive brush pile with a vengeance. It's about a year old, which I am thankful for, as the wood is dried out and rotting, so it's easier to dismantle, but it really does tower up 2-3x my height. Still lots to do, and I need a new chainsaw, but I can see inside enough to know that this is a shelter if not den, likely fox. When the sun hits the yard right, you can actually see the frequently traveled path to the entrance from the fence. :rant

So I'm doing my best to dismantle and alter it as much as I can to hopefully encourage them to go somewhere else (NOT in my yard). Battery on the Jawsaw ran out again, so I'm taking a break while I swap them out. Heading back out while I still have some light... There are also two other smaller brush piles as well. Lots to do, lots to do. (I may take a serious look at hugelculture again!)

From the sounds of that pile that would be one large hole in the ground for the hugelculture. I'm not sure I'm impressed with mine yet. It sure sounds like there's critters in there.

WHO EVER HAS EGGS SET IN JAN can join these two in their HAL, they are going to have a couple contests as well!! I think I may be able to donate some eggs or something for them.

Hi gorgeous!  I hope you have been free from wind and them T things!!!  I bet you love her, she is freaking cute, a widdle girls dream pup!!! yer awesome momma!!!  Hows the foot?

The wind has been pretty bad today, I think it might be hailing now from the sound of it... Haven't been outside yet to look though. And thank you, my daughter has wanted a little dog for a long time, so she's definitely a dream come true (except when she's chewing up things and having accidents  ).

Foot is pretty much all better, out of boot and really only notice pain when I press on it, walking is okay and only swelling if I stay on my feet too much. Thanks for asking.
