I hugged my ducks today. I realize they dislike being picked up, so I tried to stroke their backs and heads, and they tolerated that better.
I'm pretty sure my turkeys would like hugged. I just am trying to picture what's going to happen when a full sized turkey tom wants a hug.

I am glad the fire is down that far, that is good news, whats the forecast and will you get any more rain?

Through to Monday we are supposed to get another inch. Mountains are supposed to get 5". Snow level above 7000 elevation. So it's a warm storm.

Did the large eggs do well fertile wise?

All the chicks, poults and ducklings, seem attached to both my shiney rings, and my freckles. I haven't had an earlobe pecked at, or nibbled on, but my turkey's routinely try to swallow my fingers when getting mealworms from me. I haven't figured out how to teach them "be gentle" like you do a dog.

I won't lose a finger when they grow up, will i? Please reassure me that I'll keep my digits.

the first week we had our current dog we taught her to whisper, funny watching her try and bark quietly, she learned how, great dog !!!
