Did you know I bought a 4cup coffee pot, with mocha coffee, and regular dunkin donut coffee - so I can have more coffee???? I don't want to use my single cup keurig for my daily coffee, since unlike  my husband, I drink more then 1 cup in a day.

p.s. the cochins in the corner are 2 boys and 2 girls. I'm going to have to pick which rooster to cull/eat here soon. They've started fighting.

I'm going to say any with greenish bills are boys, all my drakes but my Pekin have green bills, the hens blueish or orange. I see four drakes that aren't pekin, the pekins kinda hard to tell. If you go out there can you tell which ones quack? The males will be low and raspy and the females will be high pitched.

My pekins are 1 boy - 1 girl. That's the way I ordered them. Pre-sexed.

The rest, were random. 4 of the ducks are half khaki cambel and half blue runner mixes. so one came black-ish and 3 are spotted white/blue.

The rest were khaki cambell/layer 300, straight runs.

Total, 14 ducks. If I only had 4 males total, i'd be okay with that, because that's a good amount of boys, for the rest of the girls. If I had like 8 boys, I'd be banging my head on the wall, because i'd have to order more females.

This is my big Tom - we are still working on the "hug your turkey" thing. He likes me, they chase me around like a dog, just WAITING for food... but hugging is asking a bit much from them! LOL

This is my alpha EE roo - Thing #1. Thing #2, has been hiding out with my cochin rooster and his girls, because Biter allows him to hang out with his flock with out beating him up. If thing #2 looks at the girls wrong, my RIR hen, beats the crap out of him, because her and Biter are tight and she won't allow anyone to disrespect my little bantam Roo.

Mr. Silly is working on weaning. But he sure is a friendly little guy! I'm so glad we let him nurse off mom - but made him sleep in the house and hand-raised him with daily contact. He's such a little munchkin. And he likes hugs.

Hey guys just checking in... Had my Dr. apt this am. waiting for 1 hr 45 min-he was in and out. He was a jerk so really don't want to talk about it.

Will be off work for awhile still and another 4 weeks of therapy until he decides to think about a second surgery.... A glass of wine is in order tonight

Thanks to everybody who messaged me the well wishes and checked up on me. At least the birds behaved and all went in their coops in an orderly fashion tonight

On a lighter note....

dawwwww.... I just fed back the majority of my serama eggs, imma eat these roos I am so done with this fertility issue, dont know what to do now. uggggg four roos and no one is giving me babies> ? really is that screwed up or what!!!

I wanted to say thank you for all the information on ice chest incubator building... I finally built my fancy bator (call it that because I bought mine especially for this)...so here goes... it's a party chest, came with its own stand... I added a bathroom light fixture (siliconed up inside), an LED light strip for lock down to give chicks a constant light, and for me peaking in randomly(adjustable brightness), a peep window, a vent hole or two, grated flooring and a very sensitive controller that I'm still trying to figure out how to get it not to alert every time it turns on lol...

ducks are easy just pick them up and they will tell you what they are cool beaks on them

Ah. Well any with green heads or heads that are turning green are boys.
