EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Hanging in there Banty :hugs  Hows my "Messy" :love

Messy gurl ate over 1/2 bowl of food this AM, and got to sit on her fave soft pillow whilst I was at church. She's standing nicely with the one good web, and can maneuver herself to food, water, and back again. :love

Building her a larger cage soon, coz the dog crate is too stuffy.... Just gotta find the c&c clips.

While DH and I had a Sunday lie in, DS took out the dog for walk (before the storm hit), emptied and filled the dishwasher, undecorated and and took down the Christmas tree, packed everything up and put it away in the loft!! Now he is now doing his homework.

All this from an autistic kid who did not really talk at all till he was 12 and we were told his outlook was bleak.

Maybe he overheard us talking last night about getting him driving lessons, and college applications?

He is actually just a fabulous teen/young man who has such unseen and unrealized potential - that is suddenly showing itself, that we have had the honor of parenting.

Sorry about the gush but it has been a long long road.

Awesome

Whites, are you still on speaking terms with Kathy now?

As I was leaving for church this morning, I noticed there was a blanket blocking a vent. I pulled it away, and accidentally snagged a wire, but didn't think much of it and saw nothing different..... Well, guess I didn't look hard enough. I just got home and the Bator was at 70°F. :he
A nut got pulled off one set of wires, but it was easily fixed.

Here's hoping they'll survive this comedy of errors....

That was just a "cool down" period -brinsea charges extra for that!

That won't affect them adversely

Meanwhile - Chores are done! It's still intermittently very gusty, and I don't think I have enough time to safely get up under the roof before dark (from experience of trying to tack it down before - not a lot of supports under that section to stand on). I might see if I can get up on a ladder and use a tool to unsung it. I'm wiped, though - not sure. Otherwise, it may have to be tomorrow...

Soooooo tired. (I think the lack of sleep is starting to get to me.)
