I hope not I have been working for several hours, and I drive a Semi.
You are still sleepy!
Beside, that is not one of my threads. I live in Missouri.

I think Benny makes a good point. What prevents unwanted bacteria from entering the edges of the hole, 'specially given the chickens' habit of walking in all manner of bacteria-laden,potentially harmful stuff? What prevents the hole from closing just like pierced ears will without earrings in them? If the feet are muddy, how can you even see a small hole in the foot?I am doing this to keep all the breeds separate, and to keep the lines straight. Otherwise I would need to set up 9 different brooders, run 9 different heat sources, and 9 different grow out pens.
I already have 15 breeding pens.
I sell some of these I need to be able to tell Toads from White Legbars at 2-5 days of age.
I needto tell Cuckoo Maranm, Dominique and barred rock chicks apart with 100% certainty. So I have to take the risk. It was a hard thing to decide to do, I only did it after talking to a lot of breeders and seeing their results. None of them mentioned infection by anything as a problem.
I have tried fingernail polish, bands and none of them work well.
Ha! Look at all those old cabovers. I drove one of those when I first drove a truck before I taught school. Then I went back to driving later, and most cabovers are long gone now. This for you! Chris christoferson in" Convoy"!
