A day later than planned (due to some technical difficulties with the STC-1000 and losing prior settings) but I have 41 mixed breeds in the bator as of last night.
Good luck!

BTW, there was another pip as I was walking out of the house. (I'm just siting here eating a boiled egg and waiting for someone to show up for their meeting with me.)

So glad it's Friday!!!!

Thanks Mike-appointment is Tuesday 2/7. I don't expect to hear anything great-I just want something "realistic". This happened on 9/4, I was in a brace for 6 weeks, then failed OT & had surgery on 11/18. I'm worse now then when it happened and I just want him to acknowledge that and listen to me & work with me as far as getting some healing, stability & strength, pain control & sanity back (not that I had much sanity to begin with

).

I took it easy yesterday and have no choice but to today. It was a very "odd" day here yesterday

and do to unforeseen circumstances some stuff didn't quite get done and some stuff that did get done now will need to be redone when I feel better or have help . I've started listening to my body instead of "pushing through the pain" like the Dr. told me

I do my exercises to keep my joint from locking up and to preserve mobility but if something hurts I don't do it-plain and simple. i have a high pain threshold and have done everything I was supposed to do. When it hurts, I stop and rest-heat and elevation or soak it in an epsom salt bath. I hope he will write me a script for a TENS unit-that really helped with the pain, swelling and discoloration after therapy. I don't play with sharp objects or handle fragile things or anything heavier than a pound, And I don't worry if I don't sleep well at night because I just take a nap during the day when I get tired. Done feeling crappy about this and worrying about it. It is what it is and I am lucky it wasn't something worse. Just adjusting to a new "normal"-if I can even say that about myself without cracking up

what is this 'sanity' that you speak of??

After seeing the condition that tractor supply leaves their birds in (no water all day.) I really don't want to support them when they have chicks.

mine feeds and waters

its still fun to go see them though

must be a local thing. I can go to 8 or 9 different stores within an hour of me and they always have food and clean water

Must definitely be a local thing. One of the local 4h ladies who hosts the chicken stuff, complained to corporate about the condition the birds were in. No water all day (she went there in the AM and a gain in the PM and the waters were empty both time, so were the food dishes. They were so overcrowded the chicks couldn't even move, and lots of them were trampled/died.)

She told the manager and the manager defended it, saying "it must have just run out" - but the picture, you could see "dust" in the waterer... something that only happens if it's been dry for a while.
