Did you check for jewel weed? It is best. Technu from somewhere like Walmart helps.

Wear latex or vinyl gloves to be safe but I've never had a chicken come home with poison ivy. I will however warn you to be careful when using the bathroom! :hide  People forget about that and end up with poison ivy in very bad places!!! :ep

Ouch!! I have been exposed numerous times to poison Ivy, but have never gotten a rash. My ex husband on the other hand....if the dog ran through it earlier in the day, and my step son hugged the dog that night, and when my ex did the laundry (yes, he did the laundry most of the time), he would break out from handling my step sons clothes.

I do break out mildly with Poison Oak.

Can anyone offer me a bit of advise? I have three eggs in lockdown, two mal-positions that have externally pipped and one who hasn't internally or externally pipped. I candled the egg with no pips, there was no movement-it was mowing around alot last night. I started to chip away the shell in the airsack and still no movement even after i wet the airsack down to get a clearer vision.

I was about to open it up completely..but it moved. It Moved. Very weakly.

The Yolk, feet and butt are where the head should be, so its mal-positioned. I have no clue what so ever where the head is or the beak and what exactly im meant to do now? Its got very weak movement..

If you wish to try and save it, candle & try to find the beak, and make a safety hole for it.

What day?

I had no idea where to find the beak, so i just spent the last 15 mins taking the shell off and wetting the membrane to see if i could see anything.

Its got one leg by the air sack, one foot over its head, its beak was in the middle of the egg buried under its wing..i cant see a head or eyes however.

There was a bit of blood...

Its roughly about day 20.
