EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

You're kiddings are nice and spread out. I'm wasn't real pleased that someone did the breedings and have 3 occurring essentially at once. I have room to make two kidding pens, not three. :barnie
Mine are just the three in a pasture. They have a small pen for night time with four sheds I cleaned out, sprayed, and put out fresh straw. They pick their spot. All but one of mine used a shed last year. The last one chose the cedar tree. :hu

Well, guess i am on early, (Got a question)
I'm thinking of candling them all on day 7, 14, & 21. (If on day day seven I see any clears, I plan on candling them on day 10 again to see if I see anything and if not get rid of them. Sound right?)
I plan on candling 3 or 2 every other day or longer to make sure my humidity is good. Is there an egg chart for what duck egg air cells should look like?
If I recall correctly day 10 is the proper day to candle ducks, so you are correct in not tossing clears on day 7. There is a duck egg air cell chart somewhere, hopefully someone will post it. Right now I am too lazy to look.

@The Duck Ladie

There are some duck egg candle pictures in this list:

@chicken hawk 33So have you advertised your chicks? I priced mine to sell. I did not want to mess with them. I kept my HRIR and sold all 23 EE straight run for 2.50 each last night. I try to have buyers lined up the week before they hatch.
