so true!!!especially if you do what I did and accidentally yank a nut and leave home with a live wire exposed... That could have ended very badly.![]()

I love these photos - you're making me want a Gooserz of my own so bad...![]()
Forced the kid outside for some much needed sunshine, I think her spirits picked up a bit when gooserz actually laid in her lap. Important test she has tomorrow, they will look at how her gallbladder pancreas etc is functioning.

Well, Robert E. Cochran of New Hampshire died at the Alamo, as did many volunteers from all over the then-US and as far as Denmark. Around here the fall of the Alamo is like Pearl Harbor, and is no joke. The Alamo itself is a shrine (quiet when you're inside, no photos, be respectful, etc.), and it is a tourist attraction the way any war memorial would be. We have a state holiday every year on the Battle of Flowers to honor the memory of the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto (where the cry was "Remember the Alamo", and they defeated the Mexican army and captured Santa Anna). That's why we have Fiesta.

The fact that Texas declared its independence and (along with US volunteers) fought and died for that independence before joining the United States makes folks think about things a little different around here...
