Found out that a hot glue gun is very beneficial in providing a water proof seal to electrical connections. Works well for crimp connectors anyway, not sure how it would do on wire nuts. Easily removable later if needed but not as easy as cutting and restriping the wire. Learned that when I went to replace batteries on a scooter and now I want to seal everything with hot glue.

Well, Robert E. Cochran of New Hampshire died at the Alamo, as did many volunteers from all over the then-US and as far as Denmark. Around here the fall of the Alamo is like Pearl Harbor, and is no joke. The Alamo itself is a shrine (quiet when you're inside, no photos, be respectful, etc.), and it is a tourist attraction the way any war memorial would be. We have a state holiday every year on the Battle of Flowers to honor the memory of the battles of the Alamo and San Jacinto (where the cry was "Remember the Alamo", and they defeated the Mexican army and captured Santa Anna). That's why we have Fiesta.

The fact that Texas declared its independence and (along with US volunteers) fought and died for that independence before joining the United States makes folks think about things a little different around here...

(edit - sorry, posted too soon. Fixed it.)
so they declared independence from mexico?

The Alamo is/was an old Spanish mission which, in 1836, was the site of arguably the most pivotal battle of Texas' fight for independence from Mexico
ahhh i see
