I spent most of yesterday, and into the night. I had to turn off the debate.

@Sally Sunshine Hi! Yes, beet pulp (shreds NOT pellets). It is highly digestible source of fiber and something we have used for years with older horses or horses needing to gain weight. It is great stuff best gotten from a feed store. A big 40/50 lb. bag runs $13.50 here. I give 1/2-1 cup a day in the winter, when pregnant, or if they have been ill. I will try to get a picture tomorrow. You can feed it wet to add extra water to a diet or dry.

interesting, will have to research, what type of hay are you feeding? They gave me a bale of really junk stuff with the others this time and I have had nothing but bloat in the goats ever since.... and I am treating the buck for pneumonia I think it must have been moldy or something. he had major case of runny nose and coughing more than just cudding. I need to find a better source soon

Howdy folks. Been busy getting things set up for the winter launch. Got new names for the soaps and finalized the designs.




Minter: The sweet peppermint soap. Going to try to do a dark bar with white clay and zinc specks in it, make it look like snow flurries.
Wassail: Mulled wine, going to have a deep red color from the added wine and orange slices embedded in the top (along with star anise pods).
Christmas Morning: The fir and cinnamon scented one will be pure white with rosemary needles topping the bar.

oh wow!!! Christmas morning sounds lovely!!! My dang little plastic containers for the salve or whatever you call it have yet to arrive!!! everything else for the pigs ears balm is ready!! of course NOW he decides the grass needs mowed and I am like NOOOOOO you gotta wait!!! I need my containers, he looks at me like I am nuts. Well I am but still!!
