Did they try Calcium Chloride?

Research I did on cooper sulphate states it's used for pond weeds. Did not look into what it will do to the fish.

They just suggested either a pond weed spray that I can't think of the name of right now, or manually pulling it out of the pond. I don't think I remember that mentioned.
