That's because all that medicine stuff (you know, pain pills and antibiotics and open heart surgery and joint replacement and chemotherapy and MRI machines and and and...) is invented by little fairies. Who needs research?

BTW, teaching future doctors is also supposed to be "free work" that we do.

So there will be no-one to teach the future generations and guess what- people will still get sick, and the US will need to import FOREIGN (Gasp) doctors and nurses to care for them.
This is Match week - we're already there. Preliminary data - in 2017, 37% of all residency training positions were filled with foreign medical graduates. About 10,000. There is a nursing shortage, so foreign nurses are imported to staff hospitals (but funding to US training schools being cut). Go figure.

Awwwwww..... Sweet boy.

Brooke and Opal are doing great. Brooke wants to be near me SO bad, but is still not quite there trust-wise. She follows me, but tries to pretend like she's not. But I've been waking up at night and realizing that once I'm asleep, she comes up on the bed and sleeps between my feet, just like my previous cat did (she gets down if she gets "caught" doing it).

Opal is probably always going to be aloof (which is fine). She has already decided she owns the whole house.

I caught Brooke playing with a hair rubber band this morning, and she actually played in front of me without running away. I got it on video:

It's taken some trust building, a quiet house, and regular play time with their favorite toy, but we are getting there. I cancelled the vet visit for this weekend. We aren't at the point where I can really handle them or catch them - at least without doing real damage to our growing trust. I'll take them later.

My eggs are day 24, no pipping, but still movement... How long do I wait?! I want babies!! I know this isn't normal, but how abnormal is it??? Not that it probably matters, but they are Welsummer eggs and Rock eggs...

Didn't you say you had made an error and they weren't even day 18 yet?
