It is super dangerous for people around me when I get the flu, I become super grumpy....but  only because it is a proven medical fact men get sicker and feel sicker than women.  That is so unfair, I wanted to protest it, but coud not find a place to put my sign amongst  all snowflakes protesting my right to speak at the local college and protest hall.

They said the thought of an old man with the flu was to disturbing to them to handle, so they shut me down...

I pity the WWD....

good night everybody. Bad day. hand pain is terrible-lost circulation in my hand on saturday. this morning during therapy Bill called frantic-3 of my goslings died between 9pm and 8 am. the ones I saved are in my shower. Its been a rough day. Thank you for all the congrats on the show. I need to get this hand fixed to have any kind of life back though.

Hi guys, I have been feeling livid and betrayed in a way this evening. I would like you opinions as I figure out what I am going to do, and pray that I can be professional in my approach.
Apparently my employer decided to raise the top of the pay scale (not much, but a bit). Anyway I have the most seniority and have been at the top of the scale for years. They have started giving raises. The problem is they are waiting for anniversary dates to give the raise. Because my date fell just before they finalized this I am expected to work for ten month for less than people I have been there longer than, and whom I can prove I do more work than. While I can understand this for the new people, I can't understand this for me as I have had four years now where my date has passed without a raise. It works great for the guy who has been there a year less than me with a January date, and a guy less than a year behind me who was early this month. I just can't believe after years of working massive numbers of hours and taking the extra days they needed covered along with making suggestions that are now generating more loads a day for the company that I am expected to earn less for months. I am just praying because I don't want to go in there as upset as I am.
Is it just me or is this not right?

It's not fair, but unfair things happen. Document all the ways you have listed above you have helped the company and lack of raise. Your boss probably needs this information to give his/her boss to get the ok to give you a raise at a different time than your anniversary. If you make that easier for him/her it is more likely too happen.

Well, I've decided that the next time I update my CV, in the section called "Other Skills", I will add:

"Excellent hen retrieval skills, to include safe and level set up of 8 ft ladder on uneven ground in the dark, and one-handed retrieval of hen from a tree (also in the dark while wearing headlamp).
Specialization in obnoxious Cream Legbar hens intent on winning a Darwin award.

Been sanding and sealing lumber all evening - I'm sure to pay for it with another early morning pain session, so I'm taking a bunch of NSAIDs before bed. Off to see if I can do a read back before collapsing.

personally, i think that everyone that's been there for at least a year should recieve their owed raise at the time of the decision, all at once.

@Auroradream26 @BantyChooks Thanks, after being there ten and a half years working 60+ hours a week for the last six or seven years I really am upset by this. Especially, since it is more the principle of it than the measly thirty five cents an hour.

agreed but .35 is still more, and you deserve it and have pulling your weight and the weight of others
hopefully your night of thinking has helped to ease your mind and put it into perspective so that you can speak coherently

So yesterday, I made the mistake of looking up eggs on ebay...I'm now expecting some blue birchen brahma eggs next week lol. Hubby may murder me lol. I may just blame someone for sending them to me seeing as how I have both eggs from @sally sunshine and @fisherlady in the incubator right now. THOSE he knows about lol
