No. It didn't occur to me. I wasn't hatching a lot them except with broodies (she hatched from a broody hen) and I was eliminating all the birds that weren't penedesencas.

I love black flowers, fruits and foliage.
I once had a border of black mondo grass (there are a few varieties with various shades of black) around my patio surrounded by all white flowers. Then I put white rope lights under the mondo grass to highlight the white flowers for nighttime parties.

Have patience. They'll show up. If they were constantly available at rescue centers, imagine that they would start needing to be destroyed as people gave up on keeping them.

[The Duck Ladie]

Today is day 7 and I candled my 27 duck eggs. A bunch of the eggs are marked "?"(Which means I forgot to put then ducks in seperate cages so I knew who laid what) And 5 of the eggs are clear (probably from my runner since the boys don't like her enough) Rats! and one of the magpies is clear and one of the anconas is clear (I'm gonna go have a talk with my drakes) but the rest (20 of them, one of them I cannot tell, maybe it's a bloodring, cannot tell just now) seem to have embryos! My last incubation I kept the eggs on there sides and turned by hand, but that meant I had to arrange my schedule to turning which was a pain, so this time I bought an egg turner, which obviously keeps the eggs facing pretty much upward all the time. On candling I found every single embryo was right by the air cell and a bunch of them I could not even see cause they were underneath the air cell. I am very interested in seeing what the campbell mixes will look like! I am sure they will be good layers.

For those of you who pray I would covet your prayers for the meeting tomorrow morning at 8 with my boss. I need to speak calmly and not get angry or defensive, and trust the Lord whatever the outcome. If they won't see my side of it I at least need the job until I find another one.

Yeah I have a different incubator for hatching though I run it a few days before lockdown to get the right humidity. Think I might have to help these ducks at some stage as the air cells are all over the place due to being shipped

What kind of ducks?

The only thing noisier than 5 sons.

My thoughts are definitely with you!!! I KNOW that they will see the logic in your argument. But, if I"m wrong - Remember that if it doesn't work out the way you want, and you are going to find a new job - you will need these folks to give you a good reference. So, don't burn any bridges!!!
