EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I am well, but tired. I have been thinking about the night job a lot. I am just not sure if I can do it, but I would like the raise.

is that the only other company in your area?

I let my teenager in my bathroom last night and he unplugged my incubator. *faceplants* I was 4-5 days into 3 eggs I actually wanted to set. I love my bantam cochins.

Back to the drawing board I guess. Silkie and SilkieX cochin cross... if the eggs aren't salvagable. It was 72 in my bathroom but the eggs felt cold to the touch.

but they may be fine

Ducks and Geese seemed okay when I went to bed last night. Haven't been in there room yet today. We are doing some serious remodeling/moving stuff around. We discussed the best way to use the space in our house... and he's giving me my old office back for the animal stuff... LOL

He's going to be building wall-bunk beds, for the kids in the TV/play room for the 2-3 of the kids until we can add on more bedrooms and build a new kitchen.

My EE astrid went broody, so we used marker to write on the two eggs we are letting her sit on. I don't know if she'll STAY broody, or abandon the eggs... but if she wants to hatch em, i'll let her have at it.
My white cochin is also broody, so I might possibly give them to her if astrid abandons them.... I just need to figure out the best way to make a broody nest for her, away from the other birds so they don't bug her and the eggs.
glad to hear it and cant wait for pics!

Feeling fine.
I have 7 of them; a few were dumb enough to get caught in the open, or forget where home was.
Getting 7 eggs a day from the young ones plus the 2 older RSL's.
One of the youngsters, a black one, is noticeably larger than all the others.
are we going to get updated pics?

 I've never watched that before. Duckling came down as I was posting, so we watched it. She didn't get it, but I liked it.
I missed anything you posted, so I am taking a guess that you mean night driving. Don't do it. It might be easier to get a good spot when you stop for food and fuel, but those stupid four wheelers are half asleep on the road with you, and you know truckers are always presumed guilty in an accident.
This one is dock jockey at the underground, but those who work for them already get the first chance at other local openings.
