EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Hot but close to the coast that Pacific breeze cools things off.
When I was a kid, we were shocked at the temps.  In July, it was too cold for my sister and I to swim. 2 or 3 blocks from the water it was comfortable.

All in whatcha like; I guess.

CH, I see a Cochin or two, several D'uccles of various colourings, and mebbe a BR bantam? Can't tell if it really has a brown tint or if the camera messed with the colour.
I thought the first one was a Cochin. The black one may be an Australorp. When there are all sorts of breeds mixed together, I prefer to wait till they get some adult feathering to hazard a guess.
I'm not fond of feather footed birds. Too much trouble in inclement weather. Winter is tough with huge chunks of ice hanging on their legs.

CH should have asked the manager what breeds they purchased or at least what hatchery they came from so it could be narrowed down.

All in whatcha like; I guess.

A lot of the Caribbean is hot but the prevailing winds make it bearable. I hate hot. I'd rather be on a mountain.

I just printed out my tickets for opening week baseball. Wednesday day game, Cardinals vs. their archrival Cubs. $11 each for 6 tickets. Can't beat it. Whole family and significant others going.

Got to ask you guys.....but what is wrong with California. It is like living in paradise?

I just really like Texas a lot. That, high cost of living, and it seems like California is always set up for some natural disaster (but that may be recall bias or media bias).

Sorry - didn't mean to dis your state. I DID say it would be nice to live near you, does that help?

Are there bantam 'lorps?

CA is a huge and diverse state. Extremely hot dry desert, mountain ranges with some good skiing if you like Sierra Cement, lots of Mediterranean climate and for Banty, some of the coldest regions outside of Alaska.
