EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Got my fire bricks. Full size for $1.20 (24) and split for $1.75 (8). (They are about $6 each for split at Lowes, glad I drove to the materials supply place). It was paradise - SO MANY ROCKS! SO MUCH MULCH! PAVERS! BRICKS! BOULDERS! It was a do-it-yourself paradise.

(And I MIGHT have tested out all the different gravels to decide which one would be best for duck webz...

I have another skill for my CV - "Able to eat 1/2 pound of barbecued baby back ribs cleanly and safely while driving on the highway." (These are vital skills in Texas.) Currently eating my creamed sweet corn (saving peach cobbler for later). Got brisket, smoked turkey, and a pound of chopped for meals this weekend. And, of course, pickles and onions on the side. I love Texas barbecue - I grew up revering North Carolina barbecue, but now that I live here, I have seen the light, my friends...

Want more rocks and boulders? Come on up; they're free if you take them out of my yard.

Oh, I have PLENTY in my yard. I have so many that I have to have raised beds to garden. This is landscape stuff, though. Visions of hardscaping around the aprons of the coops for more security, having nice paved walking areas, having smooth river rocks to line dry creekbed-type areas, round gentle gravel for duck webs that you can hose clean...

Ooh, lovely...

Haven't seen $11 tickets around here in years. Go Cards!
This was a McDonalds promotion. Not for Sunday's opening day but for the second and third game though. Seats are pretty decent.
Cubbies really came on strong the last couple years. Cards went from the weakest hitting team and best pitching/defensive team in 2015 to the best hitting team and worst pitching/defensive team last year. How does that happen?
They seem to have the kinks worked out and may give the Cubs a run for their money. Maybe the first series will give an indication.
Cards are a perennial playoff team and Cubs were a perennial cellar dweller. They are solid in all areas now.
Hence the World Series Championship.

Check out the 1A climate zone at the beginning of the following link.
Won't be growing many veggies there.

That's a good skill to have.

Someone smack my patties to stop me from looking up breeders.

Consider yourself smacked.
