I purposefully drank caffeine to stay awake once, it did not work.
I hated coffee when I was young but chose to drink it to try to stay awake when I had 24 hour duty in the army.
What made it work was X-112. That's a liquid caffeine supplement sold over the counter in Germany.
You're supposed to take a couple drops for weight control. About 5 or 6 drops in a cup of coffee and not only did it keep me awake, I had to occasionally run up and down stairs.
Really? Even black widows? <>
Maybe she was a black widow.
Mine was a C-4000 that I bought when the kids were born nearly 30 years ago. I think I paid around $400 for it.
It was water repellent and had been doused with salt water many times sailing and snorkeling and falling into the snow on ski slopes all over the world.
That camera just died last year. You can get the same camera now on e-bay for about $20.

My daughter has had 2 other lighter but more powerful Olympus cameras. One was waterproof to 20 meters.
I like tough cameras that can take a beating but still have good MP size, optical and digital zoom. There was a sailboat that was a dot at sunset on the horizon in PV, MX and with the combined optical and digital zoom, it filled the lens on my old cheap camera.
I found this one well within your price range. It is 0.44 pounds, 16 MP waterproof, dustproof, freezeproof, shock resistant.

This one is simple but packed with features, 16 MP, 24X optical zoom, 4X digital zoom. A little pricier but heavily discounted because it was a display model.

You can probably get it used for much less.
This place has great lines of cameras. I bought one of my game cam from them.

They have a used and refurbished department.
Check out the Panasonic Lumix
DMC-ZS45 Digital 20X optical lens or the Sony Cybershot both are $140 and they look to be very light weight and small for a backpack.

Lock down tomorrow. Way too much going on today.
Same here. Lock down in 3 days but added eggs yesterday. Baseball game at 12:45 if it doesn't get rained out and lots of chores before that time.
