Chaos, for those in need of a laugh

with her head stuck in a feed bucket.

Hey everyone! Been a rough couple of weeks. We went to the OB on Monday and got the official gestation length and due date though!

Baby is (as of today) 9 weeks 3 days. We got our first ultrasound image and everything! Baby is due 15 November.

Store update: Got a slightly negative review, but they were very nice about it and I contacted them to ask them what I can do to either fix it or clear up any perceived issues. Haven't heard back but I have the feeling that this one won't go the way of the other person, who was just an awful and rude person to deal with. I offered them a free replacement order if the problems are just completely unfixable too.

Homestead update: chickens are doing great! We're deworming today though, so that's always fun. Rooster is very chill, not one issue or anything. He doesn't seem to be overmating with anyone, he's protective without being aggressive, and while he runs away from people he's slowly warming up to us. The garden is set to be tilled when we can rent a rototiller, but I have the roof boxes going already with garlic, onions, strawberries, lettuce, celery, and two kinds of cabbage. Also got thyme, tarragon, rosemary, comfrey, echinacea, bluebonnets, poppies, and borage planted so they should sprout in a short while.

Easter is this weekend, but I can't relax because next Tuesday is my exam results for my classes. If I pass then the 24th I start my second level. I'm thinking that we should make our US trip earlier than the promised 15 July, probably closer to 24 June or something to avoid pregnancy-related travel restrictions. I'll be 6 months in July, which is just barely under the third trimester when most doctors say not to travel.
:celebrate I am happy for you about the baby. I pray all goes well. Good to hear from you!

Finally got another trailer yesterday evening. Son found it on Craigslist, 2 hrs. west of Racine, in Manatowac. No idea how old it is since you folks don't require registration, but it's solid, freshly painted, new lights, new rubber, & tilts for easier launching/loading at shallow ramps
Glad to hear you finally can check that off your list. Not to mention haul your boat ;)

Quote: Now my son can haul the boat; I only see it once, maybe twice a year. It sat here for 3 years w/o moving 'cause there was nowhere I could use the gas motor except on the river, which can be nasty & dangerous for someone who's not used to it. Motor too heavy for one man to handle, so here it sat. Son had sold his boat & was w/o one with a world of great fishing within an hour's drive in any direction, so I gave him 1/2 interest in it & the two of us dragged it to WI. He used it for a few years 'til the trailer got so bad it wasn't safe to use. He never took it out last year. We'd been looking for a replacement trailer for 3 years with no luck, then suddenly, 2 days ago, we were covered up with them. Ya just never know what's around the next corner. Now we need to come up with a way to get the boat off the old trailer & onto the "new" one w/o moving it.
