White is perfectly normal for the outer membrane. Can you see the bill? Is she opening and closing it?

She is opening and closing her bill, but it seems to me she is doing it to breath. She has some watery stuff in her nostrils. She is peeping, but it seems kinda anxious.

I would say 49 layers is about the right amount...

I am going to leave her for now. She rocked into a position so I could see the inner membrane way better and there are still some red, somewhat full looking, veins. So the yolk must not be absorbed. I don't want to rush, so I am going to leave her.

This is the smartest thing you could do, if you want it to live.....I would do other things myself...
