I had to come in, been outside working it is getting so hot I can't handle the heat anymore today.

Time to rest and re-hydrate after working in the sun. I think it got to 62. I am not ready for this heat this early!

She accepted all except my silkie chick. So my poor silkie chick is in the brooder by itself until a few more babies hatch out.

Bummer. :-( When that happened to me I took one of the hen's chicks and put it in the brooder with the rejected chick to keep it company. But yours sounds like it will have company soon!

She is trying to push way more shell it seems but is making no progress.

She is still trying but still no progress. She's been in the same spot for at least 30 minutes. What do you think?
even with ducks zipping should be no more than 90 minutes

today's high here in central New Hampshire was 38°
