Quote: Ah, ok. I was actually thinking of having HW cloth run all along the bottom.
Quote: Thanks! Alas, I have stinky unhappy indoor chickens that spur me to get them done. It was a relief to get the S&G boys out today - hope they do ok in the heat.
Thanks!!@Fire Ant Farm Those tractors are really nice. Rest well.
Good night everyone.
I'm thinking I may just go to bed with wet hair, gonna collapse. Goodnight!!!

(Sounds about right...)
Of course I drink...
Belated thanks! Helped rev me up for the day!
Well, because I keep alternating between freaking out and working until I drop, and then, well, dropping...![]()
Or need to have had the kind of day I had had... (Rum fruit cake is all gone!!! Yum!!!!)
Mel!!!! Missed you, been thinking about you.![]()
How long do you wait between having the chickens over a bed and then planting it?
Oh no!!!![]()

Monkey's comb looks like that, though worse sometimes. I was thinking it was an infection, but I think the prob;em for me is that he for some reason roosts at the end under the lowest part and brushes his comb against the HW cloth. I've done silver sulfadiazine, and it got better, then it's back. I need to do it again. I may just bring him inside for a few days once this tractor building craziness stops (he's overbreeding his girls anyway).
I'm having a hard time visualizing -do you have it running underneath the floor of the run, or just dug down at the sides?
Try stevia - natural (from an herb), best in liquids like tea (vs baking). Just don't add too much - using a small amount is perfect, no after taste or off taste, but overdoing it has a sort of Sweet & Low taste. I use drops - they seem expensive (are expensive), but last forever.

Good morning all - I'm pleased to report that this morning I have 10 healthy fluff balls. That's 100% hatch rate on my first hatch in 14 years. They are truly adorable. Thanks for the help and advise x
