EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

mornin Phil!

Thanks plywood on front today, its just going to be temporary for winter.  I like the openness in the heat.
I love your set up and those little goats are cute :)
Yes, going quick. I'm going to the lake, should I lock down the Seramas before I leave? I'd like to be gone till Tuesday, but if I need too I can run back to the house to lockdown tomorrow.
Have fun,and good luck with the hatch :fl.
I forgot to post this..... Sally, here's my favourite banana bread recipe. I got it from a friend a while back.

Banana Bread

2c flour
2/3c brown sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
2-3 tsp cinnamon- I just shake a bunch in
2 mashed bananas
1/3c melted butter
2 Tbsp milk
2 eggs

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Then add the banana, butter, milk, and eggs. Stir completely, and put in a loaf pan. Bake @ 350 for 55-60 min.
:frow thanks :drool
I will try it when I get some time.

Oh.... Forgot to post updated pics of [@=/u/162672/Sally-Sunshine]@Sally Sunshine[/@]'s babies. Enya is on the left; Abi on the right. 'Scuse the filthy coop, they decided to pose for pics in the very grossest corner...
are they laying?
I buy stock tanks and they just live in the house. I put a fire place grill over the top to keep them from flying out once they are older. :hmm :lau the only thing that bugs me, is with ducks, I clean 3-4x as much as I do with baby chicks :(
The box they came out of is to the left, big lawnmower box... They have so much room now. I need to get the pellet bedding now heh...already shavings galore, which I knew when I finished making the frame, but my back was killing me and Chicks of all ages were crying, so just wanted to finish It was nice enough to let them enjoy outside... Finley it came! Old New! Now I can feel like! :lau
oh NO!!! you should have burned it not gotten a replacement!! rest is for the very young, old and unhealthy
Hi everyone. With regards to surrogacy/adoption, will I be able to place ducklings with a mother and 4 older ducklings (a week old). I have had issues with my ducks sitting on eggs of various ages so they are at various stages of development. I want my last sitting female to hatch all her eggs but there are 4 that are much closer to hatch ( in a day or 3) than the others. I want to set those 4 ducklings in with the duck already raising babies. Will this be possible? I know my chickens tend to be bullies to younger newer chicks and so was wondering if this was the same for muscovies?
Depends if she will accept them. let us know how it works out please! and welcome!! @Romario
morning. I had to wake up and kill both a scorpion and a wolf spider that was in with my brooders on the floor... (okay, the wuss in me had my husband do it.)
gross!!!!
He is still refusing to wear them. I can get him to average about 15 minutes a day so far. LOL so.... we go back to the eye doctor in december. I warned her when she insisted he needed glasses that it was going to be a battle, and I'm currently losing. Anyone who tried to FORCE a toddler to keep something on their head that they don't want... well, they didn't have a normal toddler. :p Also - I get to start testing on Halloween... if you know what I mean? :p
dang kids!! :yesss: and yes I do know what you mean lol
Good morning every one EYS dear! My policy is to do the 100% of things I have and need to do in the minimum time I can! It needs to plan, do priority, be diligent and efficient when you do that you will have a lot of time to rest!

Guess i'm in a mad dash to get a baby bottle, and some supplies to build a milking stand.

It's a boy! I don't know if she's going to have a second one or not, she was eating grain when I left her be.

400

Desperation has me asking everyone. "Can" I get a plumber? The only one to respond will charge $150 for coming out.
I had a handyman "fix" it. He changed the gasket(? the rubber thing) and told me that it's normal to drip for a few seconds and not to over tighten. It was leaking again within a week. The guy is too old and overworked to come back.
Do you know what could be wrong?

I'm confused. Why do you need a bottle right away?
