The word wimp,,,,,,came to mind when I saw the thermometer......Of course I forgot all about the windchill factor....View attachment 1031016 View attachment 1031016 View attachment 1031016 View attachment 1031016 View attachment 1031016 View attachment 1031016 View attachment 1031016

The world is upside down!!!

It is 88 right now here... I am going to die in this heat.. I am not enjoying this one little bit..

If I take any more clothes off I will be spending 90days or so in a nice Air conditioned cell, so there is that to think about...It might be worth it.

Stop... I'm crying, laughing so hard. Thanks. Back in from the cold. Hot soup and bread awaited me. I did dig quite a bit of dirt (sort of like digging snow) out of the way to install the fencing don't laugh at it it's free. The only way I fly here if it can be got.

Just kidding about the hot soup. It's now 80* heading towards 90* but little humidity. I can't imagine 88 plus humidity.

Hey folks! I'm kinda sorta back. I've been trying to take some time to get better. I was basically told that I have an unidentified virus that caused an Upper Respiratory Infection and a Sinus Infection within 2 days of contracting it. The fevers finally stopped 3 days ago and I'm getting better, but I'm still coughing hard enough to make my chest and arms hurt. It's sucked, but I'm finally getting over it.

In other news, I lost my Polish chick. It's like everytime my SIL gets attached to one of my birds, it dies. I'm not entirely sure what happened, but I suspect it just failed to thrive. Or I just really suck at raising Polish like I suck at raising Silkies. This is the second Polish I've had that didn't survive to adulthood. The first one (a little splash hen named Ugly Chicken) was pecked to death by an EE boy when they were young and I wasn't home.

I still can't ID most of the chicks. I do think I have some Marans, but I'm really hoping that's what some of the barred chicks are. I don't need more BRs I can't even give away. The chicks are about to be shuffled around. I'm fixing up the unused pen for the grow outs to live in until they're old enough to free range with the 'flock'.

Hi could anyone help me? My friend has just received a duckling that was found on the road. It's fine and healthy but I'm trying to find out what breed it is? Thanks in advance
