EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

:frow
remember we chatted about those fidgit spinners?

now a big fuss because of the imported China ones have been randomly tested and contain lead and mercury

Scary thinking about what infant stuff they make and things we buy for ourselves. You would think imports would be checked and meet standards.
You would think. Between this and it taking so long I stopped ordering stuff from China. The cheap price isn't worth it in the long run. I've been lucky that nothing I've ordered ever had lead or mercury in them.

I missed Sally? :hit I just got caught up! mecry.gif
And I have to go...:(

Nice! I used to see that book sitting in the drugstore. :clap
Saskatchewan...I grew up there and sometimes I even have to think how to spell it..lol. They do at least know it's smarter not to move the clocks ahead and back.
Does the rest of Canada change time twice a year, then? I wouldn't mind DST all year.

It's not just silkies, but bantams in general, I think. I can't get silkies to survive past a week. Adults are fine, but I have problems with chicks for some reason. Even if I let a broody raise them. I actually let the silkies I had hatch some chicks and none of them survived. Polish either get killed by something else or keel over. I lost a bantam Welsummer a few weeks to a month ago when the temp dropped to 65 one night and they all decided to pile together. I have no idea what's going on with that.
I'm not 100% sure they are Marans, but they look a bit like Black Australorp or Jersey Giant (fluff wise, their legs are the wrong color for either) chicks. I could be totally wrong and they're Black Orps. The barred chicks have yellow feet that are slightly pink in color, which is what makes me think they're Cuckoo Marans and not Barred Rocks. I know they aren't Doms because their comb is all wrong.

Didn't you mention playing WoW somewhere? That'd drive me nuts. I couldn't play console games (shooters mostly) because of motion sickness, so I stuck with the original Guild Wars. Pregnancy was not kind to me.

Calgary? I was actually supposed to move there earlier this year. Kinda glad I didn't since I hate snow and cold. I was only supposed to be there for a year, but the job fell through.

I play wow and recently just started playing Black Desert Online.

I finally let Blu talk me into playing wow a few months back. I loved it until my month of play ran out. I've been going through withdrawals since then. I refuse to buy Heart of Thorns for GW2 since they originally said there wouldn't be any expansions for it. Plus, the extra content is stupid.

:lau Ok, she's kind of cute.

Sometimes... Right now, she needs a pointy hat and a broom and the photo would make more sense. She's been broody for weeks now - last year, she broke after a while. Looks like I'll need to break her this time (if I wasn't so overloaded with chicks this year I'd let her sit - maybe next year). Now I have DUELING broodies - Switch has joined her. I move them off the nest every time I go out there. They are NOT amused.

And I heard Puppy make her egg song outside of the paddock today, so she may have started an outside nest - I live in fear of that, because if she goes broody on a hidden nest, I may not be able to find her and I could lose her to a predator like I lost the last one who did that.

Because guineas are hoodlums and delinquents with voices like car alarms. Ralphie, Banti, please help explain...

wow that was a lot of chickens!!! I love this image!!!!

Need to photoshop that pointy hat on her one of these days...

Pandora yesterday, still no kids..... I think August first and she is will have about a dozen.....
