EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

:smack...:tongue...:bun... umno.gif

Not odd at all. I think I may have incubated one I didn't realize was upside down until I candled...which probably into 3-4 days...but I don't think I kept track. I'm sure others have had the same thing happen...probably only notice when candled at day 5 or so.

I was hoping it might be fine, since so early. Thank you. Some I didn't see air cells in these eggs, the eggs were very porous. But this one was at the smaller end. It was a relief to see veining in most... not another bunch of infertile eggs.

Loving your emoji description!! :clap

Well, it seemed the best way to express it. Though I'm thinking in retrospect it didn't contain enough . I'd seek out copious amounts of adult beverages, but I'm getting old, so I would probably just fall asleep on the sofa and then have a bad headache in the morning. So, tea it is.

:love:love:love

I ordered some random mixed geese from metzer farms. Asked hubby if I could get a few more for the rest of our yard and he goes "sure, they kill rattle snakes." LOL I don't know if that's true or not, but he said yes. haha

:clap:clap:clap

I want geese! (And I also want a fairy godmother who will come and take care of them...)

Time for chores. I already had my mandatory Puppy hug today - she was in the paddock, saw me, and literally while I was watching she jumped over 5 vertical feet and cleared the fence. She got game.... then she came up to me and got picked up and got snuggles and face rubs (which she adores). :love

If the eggs are porous...this egg may do the best since it won't lose volume as quickly. For me, the porous ones succumb before they make it to lock down...and if they do make it to that point...they've lost too much volume already and the chick can't make it. I have no luck with porous ones. I wish you better luck! :fl

Tea... I'd agree with that assessment.
