I wouldn't be scared of a bleached egg if bleach water was at proper strength. . just never thought it was really necessary. I eat raw cookie dough too Lol but I do realise Others may not have the immunities as those of us that have eaten all kinds of stuff that would kill a citiot. I would never feed dirty egg unwashed to a kid or elderly person that didn't normally eat stuff like that.

I use a good ol' fashioned shovel... And forced labour from the rugrats...




I share my coffee with the chooks. They love it, and try to mooch whatever I have outa my hands. I often end up sharing my food with them... Brats. They're supposed to eat their own feed.

But that's not washing your food in it. I'm not usually outside while eating (our mosquitoes are TERRIBLE right now.) I do bring food out for them. I'm just not eating it at the time.

Agreed. I'd not do half the stuff I risk if I wasn't in good health.
Plus, I've had animals my whole life... Not chooks, mind you, but a whole gamut of other feathered and fuzzy things. Ain't dead yet. I ate all sorts of poop as a kid, and I survived, eh.

X2. Shoulda seen what my neighbour did... She washed eggs with water from the dog bowl. I figure since they're still alive, and I'm still alive, it can't be all that bad.


I wash eggs with whatever temperature water comes out of the tap when I turn it on.

I wouldn't be afraid of a bleached egg if the bleach was at proper strength...but I wouldn't want to do that. Too much.

That's just how I do it...each person has to do what they're comfortable with.
