Washe it with soap (antiseptic soap is better )
Wipe it to get it dry
And you HAVE to put on it antibiotic ointment!

Hibiclens is an awesome cleanser--
It's used a lot in healthcare, but can be purchased at Walmart etc. I've also also used silver to medicate a wound and had great success.
