EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

I'm a bit confused about how my air cell should look. I've seen some pictures and read a lot but from what I see my air cells might be to big. Anyone have a good pic, advice etc about this? I did have 2-3 that are saddle shaped.
Thanks!

disregard day 7 and 14... And on 18 it is too late to worry....

BTW watch the humidity with summer hatching. I have the auto humidity device turned off and a dehumidifier running in the room with the incubators. It is still running 35%.

You're a silly. I do think it is wise to candle and keep an eye on the air cells until you know your incubator and weather conditions enough to leave them.

With me, it took about a year (10 hatches) to get comfortable enough to set and forget. Before that, if I had simply left it alone and not monitored air cell size and humidity, I would have had a lot of dead chicks. It's an art, not a science, and for those of us newer to the hobby, more hands on methods are sometimes required to get live chicks. Just my two cents.
