EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

And to think. . I bring my dogs inside when it gets below 0! I do it mostly so I don't have to go out and break water for them constantly.
We have 3 dogs and none of them every come inside..lol. I had a border collie/German Shepard that used to curl up on the snowbank and sleep in the coldest windest weather.(he had an insulated dog house, the barn...the other buildings) He impressed me...it was his choice to sleep there...lol. Of course he was also the dog that started biting and slashing through tires. Expensive. Best ratter dog we've ever had.

I meant to add that's it's all relative. I couldn't handle the heat of the hottest places. You dogs are used to going in. And that's all fine. I've taken in house cats that have never been outside...and if they're acclimatized carefully all year...they do very fine outside.

When I worked at the hog barn full time...I couldn't handle the cold on my face or exposed skin like I do now that I start the winter being exposed....lol.
(no, not in that way people)

It's all about what the body is used to. We don't have temps below zero very often or for long periods of time so my doggies think they need inside lol. I only let them in to sleep for the night though and only when it's going to be below zero. I put them back out in the morning. I've always heard it's actually harder on them to get used to indoors and then put back out.

You must have an interesting job if you're exposed all winter

I have trouble with the heat here, and Shaw would just say 'What heat?'

I wasn't a super risk taker either. I married a guy who has more common sense than I do. I scare everyone here. Maybe that's her m.o.

I find most of the scary people are actually nice people in disguise. It's their shields to protect them. It's "some" of the suits and ties that are evil incarnate.
I should say for the record I have no problem with tattoos or piercings. . just not a personal preference. I have a tattoo myself. But I got mine after I was on my own paid my own bills and took care of myself!
I agree totally it is a cover for low self esteem She is a sweet sweet girl underneath all the black eyeliner. Trouble is a lot of predator types figure that out and it makes her a target.

Ain't any way that's going to end well. I hope she comes to her senses soon.
