IMO duck can't stay 24/7/365 in water. They need time out to fix their fathers and oil them. If it can't stand and do it, it will not be waterproof. .....

My father lived to the ripe old age of 86, and to my knowledge never needed oiling, though toward the end he was pretty stiff.

Did not know that you came from a duck familly!
The equator or latitude 0 divide the Earth to Northern and southern hemisphere the longitude 0 the meridian that passes trough the Town of GREENWICH England, or the time line divide the Earth to Eastern and Western hemisphere!

Because the northern and southern determine the seasons ( according to the angel of the Earth axis tiltt, (and pointing direction to the sun) relatively to the sun.) And the southern and eastern is determining the time!
For example me and you are in the different hours. now it is 16:10 here, and you are at 9:10 (.I think) BUT we are both in summer.
In Johnsburg South Africa , it is 16:10, exactly like me, BUT they are in mid winter now!
