BAD ROOSTER

Blue Australorps? That's a new one.
Are they recognized? I'm too lazy to go find my SOP.
Picked up at rural king... 6 from the pullet bin and 6 from the straight run bin(in hopes for males, not all males).. Thought it would be nice to breed something different. Getting bored with sos everyday. Need something new to look at.

Neighbor texted and said it's too hot to show him what needs to be done here when he feeds my birds and I agreed. We've both decided to wait till Wednesday when it's only supposed to be 99. This is the longest stretch of high temps we've had. Started back in July with about a week of high 80's.
Humidity is at 19% now, there must be a fire to the south of us. Going to have to check the news. It's far enough away from the looks of things.
Mother Nature is on vacation and left the kids in charge.
That's too hot and for too long of a stretch. :bow

You're so naughty! I admire that quality in you! :hugs
Lol...I notice you're pretty naughty yourself!
Naughty people are the funnest people....lol. :highfive: :hugs
(I think most of the people on this thread are naughty)
Me too. I cant stand sunscreen so I wear big hats, long sleeves, sun sleeves, rash guards, & make up with SPF in it. I'm not really sure when I transitioned from Gidget to Larue.
I have a big hat too! For the life of me I don't know where it went!:barnie How does something like that go missing? My face is getting suntanned!!! Arghhhh!:barnie

I've been tying old ratty t-shirts on my head when I do chores to keep my hair from getting dusty. DH just shakes his head. I wonder what the neighbors think? :p :lau

I don't think so. No hackles or saddle feather development etc. They look like my EEs.
I have another the same as the one like below, except she has a comb.

Here's Mr. Maran at 8 weeks. See the saddle feathers spraying down over the base of the tail. You should see that by now. His comb and wattles are also visibly larger than a pullet's at this age.

These two birds below are the same age. The cockerel is Mr. Maran from the pic above.
That's at approximately 3 months.
Pullet Cockerel.
