You will think we are monsters if a showed you a pic inside one of our freezers.
We breed to feed. We re-home offspring to take care of the expenses. NOBODY WANTS A ROOSTER!. When we do get a call for a roo, they want to pay no more than $5! My husband tells them the Bird is 4 months old, a single bag of feed costs $14 and a bag doesn't last 4 months! If he is in a cruddy mood he tells them you might as well take the rest of his money from his wallet while they are at it!
He has culinary arts training and doesn't flinch or hesitate to prep a roo. I just enjoy his cooking and don't hang around for the dirty work..

I could be wrong...it's what I'm seeing. I've figured out the Mr. Maran IS off the cuckoo marans so they have the straight combs like your birds.

It's good you can take them back. They're nice looking birds!

Picked up at rural king... 6 from the pullet bin and 6 from the straight run bin(in hopes for males, not all males).. Thought it would be nice to breed something different. Getting bored with sos everyday. Need something new to look at.

3 of the pullet bin chicks are silver laced wyandotte.
I just gave them new sterile quarters and remembered my post. Only 9 blue australorps..
They are gentle compared to the wyandotte babies when I snatched them all up to move them!

It is so nice to look at something different for a change.

Actually I wasn't, I was too lazy to convert it.
But "now" that you mention it...200 kms does sound further doesn't it?

200 > 124, so yes it certainly sounds further. You all should convert back to miles!

Hey Benny, pretty sure that is a not true. HS is common - sure - but NOT in "almost 100%" of humans.

Also do not think that most chickens have mareks.
