I guess the key here is not to drink around pigs? I used to sleep in the piglets trough...but they didn't eat me.

But you're missing that they're VERY clean. They really are if allowed.

Love bacon, sausage, & pork chops, but I won't have a hog on the place. My grandpa told me when I was a young kid not to ever let a hog in with a cow about to calve; it'll root in after the calf, pull & eat it, killing the cow in the process. I've never forgotten it.

We never kept our hogs with our cattle.
