Won't acorns effect the taste of the meat, like I hear it does deer meat?Try feed the acorns if you have them.
We have read that some high end restaurants serve acorn fed pork. Deer and Goat meat is different I suppose. I will try to find the link I saw awhile back.Won't acorns effect the taste of the meat, like I hear it does deer meat?

I read somewhere that acorns give an unusual taste to venison. I guess, because there are scads of oaks here, that I've never had any acorn-free venison, so have no basis for comparison. Supposedly, deer will eat acorns when all their other food sources are gone; not their favorite. We have read that some high end restaurants serve acorn fed pork.
