It will. I take the plug out on purpose so I know it gets dumped in the second cycle...which is our longest cycle. THAT stuff is amazing stuff. Is it "Finish" brand by chance? I bought a bottle to dump it into for use on other stuff.

It'll also get the film and orange hue off of dishes and glass wear. I run a cycle WITH the dishwasher cleaner and they come out in beautiful shape.

I put it upside down in a bowl on the top rack, I figured it would over flow when the bowl filled up and get into the machine.

You can use that with dishes in the machine?

Otherwise it takes on a yellow brassy hue. Don't ask me how I know.

Same with grey horses and bluing, but ONLY if you use a bit. Otherwise your steed will fall ill to the dreaded purple pony syndrome.

It does when not used excessively. I used blue shampoo for dogs when I showed our sheep. And I may (or may not) have both purple and blue shampoos sitting in my house for ...you know the rare occasion I might need them.

Anyone with blonde or white/gray hair uses purple shampoo to keep the brassiness out as stated earlier. (I'm adding the blonde)

One of my Grandma's friends had bluish gray tinged hair...I understand why now.
