EDUCATIONAL INCUBATION & HATCHING CHAT THREAD, w/ Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs

Mel just responded to a PM I sent her this morning. She's still having a tough time of it, pain-wise, & they have her on steroids. Going for a consultation on Monday for a spinal cord stimulator. I'm not sure what that is; maybe one of you nurse-types does.
She misses you all, and she'll get back when the meds don't have her whacked out. She's thankful for & appreciative of all the prayers & good wishes.

Poor Mel. I wish things would get better for her.

OK if you say so.
And ofcourse there is no such a thing as prejudice ,Discrimination and presumption on how criminal, should be look like. you have it in your police as we !
I know we aren't supposed to talk politics so I'll keep it short.
There are crooked cop s out there sure.
But most of what's portrayed in the media is not even the true cases of this happening.
Prejudice is happening amongst and against all colors races and religions in all different directions these days.
Police of every color have good reason to fear for their lives.

Spinal cord stimulator is an instrument put in with surgery. Very much like the tins unit that's exterior. Two electrodes planted on the nerve controlled area of pain, battery pack that's recharged from outside through to the inside battery.
Remotely controlled. Wife has one. Big pain in the behind if you ask me. Ask her and she wouldn't want to have it any other way. It helps with pain control so that she doesn't have to have so much pain meds. At least this way she can function without being in zombie state all the time.

Thanks for the info. I saw mentions of the tens unit when all this nightmare first started for Mel, but never understood it or asked. Mel's for sure tired of being zombiefied all the time....poor kid

My mil is trying to get one of these. She is disabled due to back injury from her time as a nurse. a patient jumped on her back years ago. Then the doctors operated on the wrong vertebra. . and caused more problems. She got a settlement but it's left her with a lifetime of pain No settlement amount could ever be enough.
