Just had a leg splayed chick as well.
the ole man is out cursing in the yard. The harmonic balancer on the Cherokee just broke while pulling the trailer to the back.
WHERE DID ALL THIS COME FROM..?

@BantyChooks one infertile, one clearly an early death, one I just sentenced to death. She left the nest this morning, but it was still alive, and bled a bit when I cracked the shell. THEN it decided to move.
I gave it back where she is now, but it will not live now.

Thank you, I didn't want to really even open that much but I couldn't see a head. They are still alive as of now and we will see. There's no blood and I applied proper ointment to them. Im pretty sure one is not quite ready due to having thicker veining, but still not sure bout the other. They're back in the bator and gonna give it a bit more time watching carefully...and will see how it goes.

Like Wicked said, we all do things differently.

I have when I ran out a couple times. I pulsed it in the food processor and got it finer texture wise.

I swear on everything good in my life, but the sucker is up and sipping again. It gad to be a seizure or something. Having trouble balancing. I don't expected it to make it. But I always try. We have lost so many thru the years that I don't break down anymore. Like you said there whites.. at least I tried. That's my comforting thoughts.
I just become attached to the needy ones for some reason.
